Supplemental Security Income Benefits

Supplemental Security Income, or SSI, is paid to people with low income and limited resources who are disabled. To determine whether a person is disabled for SSI, the Social Security Administration uses the same 5 step analysis that it does for Social Security disability. If you are entitled to SSI, the amount of your check depends on the amount of your income.
